Precast Glass Block Floor Panels (Roof Lights) Precast floor panels are also known as roof lights. La Rochere manufacture glass blocks and glass shells suitable for use in precast floor panels.
Characteristics of Floor Blocks La Rochere manufacture their shells and pavers by compression of a glass drop at about 1050°C. These shells are annealed at 560°C to eliminate internal tensions. Insulating pavers are obtained by heat fusion at more than 800°C of two hollow shells and are also annealed at 560°C.
FIG 1 shows a selection of glass blocks that can be incorporated into Precast Concrete Floor Panels:
For increased slip resistance, the glass surface can be sandblasted.
