The rods and mortar method is the traditional system for successfully installing glass block walls and windows and is the preferred choice for professional installation contractors in Ireland.

The glass block accessories that our supplier,Glass Block Technology,supply,are of the highest standard & are designed to perform. The Colmef Vetromix glass block mortar is a premix bedding & finishing premix that offers a controlled U value. The glass block reinforcement bars are stainless steel, not mild or galvanised.The glass block expansion fibre being made of pallets so when a drill pierces it, the material doesn't spin out ruining the drill bit.
Building glass block panels using the Rods and Mortar system in not simple but its not hard either!Simple & logical, providing the guidelines are followed methodically and some pre planning is done,anything is possible.

Easyfix includes a border component which allows a neat/tidy finish on a project....something other suppliers/systems do not offer,very often this is a problem for those who have chosen an alternative method forcing them to use corner and top blocks as a neccessity for a finished panel.
It may not sound like much but these are an extra cost! and defeats the purpose of Easifix.
It is a dry-fix fitting system ideal for installing glass block shower screens, panels within partition walls & many interior features within domestic & commercial situations.
